Jim DeMercurio started his career in 1993 at General Electric where he worked on an early Knowledge based engineering (KBE) project automating the design and manufacturing of steam turbines. DeMercurio moved to General Motors in 1995 where he worked as a CAD instructor then transitioned into the General Motors KBE group in 1998 working as an application developer. During this time he worked with Unigraphics development to help drive direction and functionality into their new KBE tool. Jim is currently working as a KBE Architect overseeing the direction of global KBE application development at General Motors. Jim has an Associates degree in architecture from the State University of NY at Delhi and a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
