Paul Pollock is Chief Engineer, Advanced Products, Commercial Vehicle Systems Division of Dana Corporation. His responsibilities include: creating a small diverse group of people making advancements in product design and technology; disruptive product development that includes a new independent front suspension for class 8 trucks and motor homes, new front air suspension for heavy trucks, new rear drive suspensions for heavy vehicles; vehicle dynamics development including vehicle testing, data acquisition, and personnel development; CAE virtual development initiatives; combining commercially available shape optimization tools with Dana’s own trade secrets into a cutting edge process; developing Government agency, National Laboratory and University relationships for project/product development and technology advancements.

Paul has a 26 year career at Dana Corporation working in numerous technical positions: Chief Engineer of ABS, Chief Engineer of Brakes and Advanced Engineering, Chief Engineer of Advanced Products, application engineering, rear drive axle engineering, front steer axle engineering, air foundation brakes, ABS and suspension engineering that include: CAE, product development, laboratory testing, vehicular testing, manufacturing, customer needs and supplier development.

Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University – Ft. Wayne. He is a member of: SAE, the external advisory board for the school of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI and the Center of Automotive Research at Ohio State University.
