Subhasish Roychoudhury ("Roy") is the CAE Systems manager at Ford Motor Company – a position he has held since January 2002. In this role, Dr. Roychoudhury is responsible for development and integration of systems enablers in support of computer aided engineering and analytical design for six sigma processes. Some of Dr. Roychoudhury's department's recent work includes strategies and implementation of CAE information management systems, global deployment of analytical reliability and robustness tools and high performance computing resource consumption management framework development. Prior to joining Ford, Dr. Roychoudhury was managing Engineering Design Systems program at GE Power Systems, and was responsible for strategy and implementation of global engineering PDM environment and various design and analysis automation tools. Dr. Roychoudhury's previous experience include implementation of design for six sigma and CAE methodologies for design of various products at GE, including X-ray and CT scanners, Ultrasound and circuit breakers, for which Dr. Roychoudhury holds several US and international patents. Dr. Roychoudhury began his career with engineering software development companies, and had led teams responsible for commercial CAE software development for computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer and structural mechanics.
