Biography

Tomoyoshi Kaneko is CAD/CAM Group General Manager in the Development Division of KOMATSU. Kaneko helped introduce 3D CAD systems in KOMATSU, and has worked to boost manufacture process innovation from the years 1997 to 1998 in the head office. He has been driving to shorten lead time by deploying 3D CAD/CAM, and CAE tools on the development of excavator construction equipment at the Osaka plant. Kaneko took charge of development and has had success solving various problems using 3D CAD/CAM. He helped implement the standard 3D CAD system (Pro/E) at Komatsu and also developed the CAM system.
