Biography

Shawn Underwood is Director of Marketing for the Visual Systems Group at SGI. He is responsible for product management and marketing, including all graphics hardware, software and Silicon Graphics® visualization systems.

Mr. Underwood has been involved in graphics and media for more than 20 years. He joined SGI to handle market development in the broadcast graphics and HDTV industries. Later, he held the position of product line manager for telecommunications and media. Before joining SGI, Mr. Underwood held product management and sales positions for several companies in the digital media market, including Abekas, Ampex, Philips and Harris.

Mr. Underwood earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
