As principal vice president and CIO at Bechtel, K.C. Choi is responsible for IT planning, operations and project support for Bechtel's Petroleum, Chemical and Pipeline business units globally. Prior to his current role, he held a similar position for Bechtel's Power business in Frederick, Maryland. He also led Bechtel's corporate IT strategic planning and financial systems management in San Francisco. K.C. has more than twenty years of experience in engineering, estimating, construction management, strategic planning, and information systems. He hold a Ph.D. and M.S. from U.C. Berkeley and B.S. from Seoul National University.

New Imperatives to Reduce Lifecycle Costs
This keynote presentation will discuss current industry practices to reduce EPC costs and new imperatives to achieve step-function improvements in lifecycle cost effectiveness. Key challenges and enablers will be discussed in terms of business process, organizational structure, people, and information technology in the overall industry value chain.
