Rick Kriss is co-founder and the CEO for Xsilogy Inc., a San Diego startup specializing in end- to-end solution for real-time wireless monitoring. Kriss' first startup, sports shoe company AVIA, grew to a $100 million company before it was acquired by Reebok. He co-founded the company when he was 29 with two friends and $1.2 million in venture capital. Since co-founding AVIA, Kriss has spent the last 15 years working as a financial and a marketing executive for several high-technology computer companies, including OSAGA Inc., a sports shoe company operated as a division of Mitsubishi and SAGE COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY, a workstation start-up where he served as both the VP of Finance and the VP of Sales and Marketing. Since moving to San Diego in 1989, Kriss has held executive assignments in marketing at Simpact Associates and most recently at Doctor Design. Kriss attended the University of Oregon earning his degree in Finance and Accounting. It was while attending the University of Oregon that he first discovered computers and later continued his post baccalaureate studies in computer science.
