Michael Atkinson joined Aspen Technology in 2000 and has held various roles in business consulting, product marketing, development and product management before accepting the position of Director of the Engineering and Construction vertical. Mr. Atkinson has spent 15 years in the E&C industry in various positions from Construction Engineer, Design Engineer and a Project Manager for chemical, petrochemical, polymers and refinery projects. Mr. Atkinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master's in Business Administration from Clemson University. He has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1991.
