Rosli Abdul Hamid
CEO, GB3 Sdn. Nhd & Head of LCAIM
Malakoff Berhad

Rosli Abdul Hamid is currently the senior executive of GB3, a subsidiary of Malakoff Berhad, a leading “blue-chip” independent power producer listed in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Mr. Hamid spearheaded the lifecycle asset information management (LCAIM) initiative for the parent company to ensure the management and availability of all information in the form of structured data for power plants either owned or operated and maintained by Malakoff Berhad. Having recognized that Malakoff Berhad is the developer of power plants and that one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Teknik Janakuasa (TJSB), is a service based company for power plant O&M, Mr. Hamid saw the need to bridge the knowledge and information from the EPC phase to the operating phase of the power plant. A pilot project on the asset lifecycle was done at the Lumut power plant with great success and prompted Malakoff management to implement a similar plan for a 2100MW Tanjung Bin power plant. Before assuming the lead role in LCAIM in 2004, Mr. Hamid worked in various capacities within TJSB in maintenance and engineering services. He is also responsible for formulating, developing and overseeing the overall group ICT strategy and implementation for Malakoff Berhad and its subsidiary companies. Mr. Hamid is a graduate of Monash University with a bachelor’s degree (with honors) in engineering in electrical and computer systems and is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia.
