Robert Jackson is a principal project manager for Parsons Commercial and Technology Group, Inc. He has over 35 years experience in the management of design, engineering, procurement, and construction services in the entertainment, sports, commercial, and institutional fields on a world-wide basis and under virtually all forms of project delivery, including theme parks, sports facilities and hotels. He also has significant recent experience in China, acting as the program manger for the Tianjin, China Projects, which includes master planning of a 1 km2 site and follow-on design and construction management of a 35,000 seat FIFA standard soccer stadium, as well as design of a lagoon, 120,000 m2 lagoon walk, theme park type water show and extensive retail/entertainment facilities. Parsons is the first foreign firm to perform the conceptual design, final design and construction management services for a state-owned Chinese company. The soccer stadium has been recommended to receive the Luban Award, which is a national prize for construction quality in China. Jackson received his A.B. in economics from Stanford University.
