David Parry is chief technology officer at McLaren, with responsibility for the overall technological strategic direction of the company. He works with the product strategy group to undertake research and development into technical advancements to ensure the ongoing development of McLaren as a world-class technology provider. Parry also has responsibility for the Industry Applications Group, which delivers out-of-the-box applications to solve real business issues. Prior to McLaren, Parry worked for BAeSEMA for twelve years, where he gained extensive management and technical experience in Documentum EDMS, application development, project management and product data management. As principal consultant, Parry was responsible for the introduction of new technology into the design process, including the development of a virtual reality system for the visualization of complex dynamic systems and the development of an EDM system to successfully manage and deliver key projects. Parry graduated from Glasgow University with a BSC (Hons) in electronics and electrical engineering.
