Vernie Sullivan is manager of CAD/CAM/CAE/EPDM Support in the Software Engineering portion of the Northrop Grumman IT Sector. Mr. Sullivan’s responsibilities include overall management and coordination of definition, development and implementation of all technical oriented computer applications in support of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Engineering analysis capabilities, Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) systems.
Mr. Sullivan coordinates technical and management requirements to provide maximum systems integration, capability and integrity. Additionally, he assists in analysis and feasibility studies to determine justification, type and location of computer hardware and remote devices; assists in selection of and implementation of numerical control (NC) manufacturing equipment in all production areas; and develops computer resource estimates and forecasts. Mr. Sullivan works with various user organizations to develop requirements for computer hardware and software, secure appropriate pricing, develop capital requests, assist in developing purchase requisitions, and assist in receipt and distribution of hardware and software.
Mr. Sullivan has over 37 years of experience in developing computer applications software. This includes 3½ years with Boeing at the New Orleans Michoud Facility, 3½ years with Lockheed at the Houston Johnson Space Facility and 30 years with Litton/Ingalls Shipbuilding and Northrop Grumman IT/IIS in Pascagoula, MS.
Mr. Sullivan has BS Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science.
